Cocktails

“Meet me down in the bar and we'll drink breakfast together.”

- W.C. Fields

Now that's dedication, and dedicated you must be, for it is no mean feat traversing the challenging, yet highly rewarding, terrain of our 54 select cocktail list.

From Tommy’s Margarita to St James’s Martini, a Dublin Peach to an English Rose, the Moulin Rouge to the Natural Blond, no spirit has been left unpoured, no fruit left unsqueezed and no mixture left unmuddled in the eternal search for the best cocktail.

It’s been a long time since the days of prohibition forced bootleggers to mix their ‘home brews’ with sweeteners just to make their spirits palatable to the masses. Now the work of a mixologist has become a fine art and the 5th View bar team have spent many hours researching (and recovering from) the finest alcoholic ingredients known to man, woman or beast - nice work if you can get it!

CLASSIC COCKTAILS:

St James’s @@##My Man Godfrey

We take our martinis very seriously. Your choice of premium frozen gins or vodka selected and poured at your table with a twist and a bowl of olives on the side.

Classic Champagne

As cool as Casablanca and timeless as Bogart himself.  Champagne poured over sugar and cognac.

JT Manhattan

We like to serve our 'Perfct Jerry Thomas' style with a lick of Grand Marnier orange liqueur and a few drops of Angostura bitters.

The Godfather

Classic and simple. Two shots of Jack Daniels and one shot of Disaronno Amaretto. Delicious...

Negroni

We believe the Italian count, who gave his name to this mix of gin, campari and sweet vermouth, would be proud of our delivery.

A MODERN TWIST:

Moulin Rouge

Fresh passion fruit, strawberry puree, vodka and a dash of vanilla syrup all topped up with champagne. An aphrodisical carnival of flavours to stimulate the senses.

Spiced Peach Mojito

A variation of the classic Mojito but this one has Sailor Jerry's spiced rum and withe peach puree.

Superstition

Finlandia vodka shaken with a nice helping of butterscotch schnapps, white cocoa and double cream.

JT Manhattan

We like to serve ours ‘perfect Jerry Thomas’ style with a lick of orange liqueur and finished with our own secret recipe for marinated summer cherries.

Strawberry Kiss

Fresh strawberries, vodka, Amaretto and cream? It doesn't get better than this!
